“Anchor and earth is a place that finds you and draws you in before you even realize you need it. Having the opportunity to see it start as an idea and evolve into a beautiful reality has been a delight. What is even more delightful is getting to experience a few days at anchor and earth - reconnecting with nature, having conversations about topics that actually matter with humans that seem to just get it, and of course the peace and quiet to reflect and rest.”

“…Anchor and Earth was conveniently located right off the highway, and upon arrival I was so excited to see that the property was a little Eden, tucked away amidst huge trees and a lovely creek. The cabin I stayed in was incredibly comfortable, yet still gave me the feeling that I was out in nature, with that camping feel that I've always cherished on vacations with my family, when I was a young boy. We had many bonfires and played the new songs we had recently written for each other. Johnny and his wife Heidi are incredibly hospitable and generous, and for lack of better terms are very pastoral, but not in the religious way. I mean more in the way that you feel you have become part of their beautiful family when you are staying with them. I felt so peaceful the entire time, and left feeling refreshed from nature but also from the love I experienced.”

“Rest and Peace. These are two things desperately needed by a pastor or ministry worker these days which they rarely get. I experienced both of these things during my week of prayer and writing at Anchor and Earth. The fellowship was authentic and the beauty of nature did wonders for my soul. Highly recommended!”
