You’ve probably heard the term, “starving artist”. It can be a real struggle for creatives to balance surviving and thriving. Our mission is to foster creativity. Anchor and Earth provides care, tools, and education for artists and aspiring artists to express, discover, and hone their passions. Meals, living space, and creative spaces are all provided for the artists we host allowing our guests to focus on creating.
Anchor and Earth offers free, hands on training in software, hardware, and principles of music recording, songwriting, and production. With a full recording studio, we empower our audio artists to release their own music.
We train on the use of and provide the access to digital and analogue photography and cinematography equipment including Canon 5D Mk III, various canon and Pentax analogue cameras, a variety of professional photography lenses, Zoom H6N for portable audio recording, green screen and more.
As we grow into our new creative workspace we will be able to offer dance workshops, woodworking tools and principles, fine arts education and social media marketing and promotion skills. Our new space will include a performance studio and gallery allowing artists of all types to display their craft.
In our final phase and with a culinary gathering center, we will introduce our guests to creative and expressive cooking techniques.
Over the next year you will find us with dirt under our nails and hammers in our hands. We have a lot of work to do and we can use your help. After the foundation is built, we will start with additional community programs including free recording and production classes, skilled trade concepts and education, musical performances, gallery showings, culinary experiences, and more
